In order to transform agriculture into a dynamic LOHAS agriculture and shape it into an efficient industry, COA take policies and measures to strengthen mainframe of agricultural production and marketing, energize agricultural community, and promote agri-tourism, etc. those all are also appealing to the young generation and attracting them to the business because through these policies and measures, the farming industry will become highly competitive and stable in income.

2.To revitalize 4,000 agricultural communities to showcase the new features of the ecology, landscape, LOHAS lifestyle, and culture in the rural area.
3.To emphasize the multi-functional value of agriculture and reactivate up to 50,000 hectares of fallow lands. Of the annual quantity of irrigation water used for paddy fields in areas with limited water resource, 20% can be conserved due to the support of this sustainability way of agricultural policy.
1.Enhancing competitiveness of the industry to thrust Taiwan's agriculture onto the international arena
Employing modern big data and IT technology to establish practical uses for agricultural cloud computing, strengthening the production and marketing forecast, and stabilizing the production. Expediting the establishment of industrial value chain through facilitating interdisciplinary cooperation.
Establishing Agricultural Technology Research Institute to promote innovative research for use in agro-industries. Integrating green energy to develop highly effective and energy-saving agriculture.
Consolidating the global deployment of agricultural products production, marketing and boosting international agro-tourism. At the same time, with the on-going cross-strait direct charter flight policy and the signed Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement already effectively create new market opportunities as well as protecting our agricultural intellectual property and plant variety rights.
Participating in international and cross-strait economic trade negotiations and drawing on the corresponding strategies to carefully adjusting our agricultural structure ensuring the best interests for the industry and the farmers.
2.Adjusting agricultural structure and integrating resources for value-added development
Establishing aging farmer allowance plan and promoting the Small Landlords Big Tenants policy. Providing training and education for the formation of new generation agricultural professionals. Promoting farmers' academy to create highly skilled agricultural workforce while improving production efficiency.
Integrating industrial development with rural revitalization to establish designated production areas and strengthening clustering effect, contributing on the living and production conditions quality in rural villages.
Establishing farmers' income compensation measures and launching agricultural insurance plan to provide natural disaster relief for farmers to stabilize their income and living standard.
3.Safeguarding food safety and reinforcing the safety of agricultural product

Advocating refined agriculture by promoting the certification of origin in order to highlight brand characteristics of local produce. Encouraging local production, local consumption, and diversified marketing strategies for agro-products by developing new demands for local-produced ingredients.
Promoting agricultural product safety certification to stay in line with the international standard, and advocating proper fertilization to create environmentally friendly agriculture.
Launching seamless management system of product safety, strengthening animal and plant health inspection and quarantine measures to ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products and protect the domestic livestock.
4.Activating the efficient and flexible use of agricultural resources to ensure sustainable agricultural development
Adjusting farming systems to reduce fallow land acreage and reactivating the use of fallow land by encouraging farmers to produce import-substitution and specific regional produce.
