“Wanxiang”– Flagship Store of Taiwan Products Opens on Feb. 18

The Council of Agriculture (COA) pointed out that “Wanxiang,” the flagship store of Taiwan quality products in China, the Council entrusted the Uni-President Dream Parks Corporation with establishing in Shanghai, was formally open in the afternoon on February 18 after a very successful trial operation since December 25, 2011. “Wanxiang” Becomes Best Publicity Platform for Taiwan Agricultural Products to Enter Chinese Market Thanks to Direct Transport and ECFA

 

To grasp the benefits of cross-strait direct transport and Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) and face the rising of China’s purchasing power, the COA has entrusted the Uni-President Dream Parks Corporation with implementing in Shanghai the plan for establishment of base for display and sale and set up “Wanxiang” as the flagship store of quality Taiwan products and make it the best platform for Taiwan agricultural products to enter the Chinese market, following the establishment of base for display and sale in Hong Kong and Tokyo, Japan in 2004 and 2006 respectively.

 

100% Taiwan Team Establishes “Wanxiang” to Introduce Strength and Value of Taiwan’s Quality Agriculture

 

The COA noted that “Wanxiang” is established by a 100% Taiwan team and its overall spirit is to show the “Feast from Taiwan,” which merges Taiwan’s agriculture with its culture and farmers’ true nature. The delicious dishes “Wanxiang” offers to its customers more than 300 items of quality Taiwan agricultural products on display in the store, including fresh fruits, ready-to-eat foods, other agricultural, fishery and livestock products, and certified quality agricultural products with CAS and GAP labels. Since Shanghai is one of the indicator cities which lead the Chinese consumption trends, “Wanxiang” can draw the attention of the mainland consumption market and effectively introduce to mainland consumers safe, quality Taiwan products, Taiwan agriculture’s unique exquisite soft power as well as the products’ safety. “Wanxiang” is expected to bring the benefit of promoting the export of more Taiwan agricultural products to China.

 

Seasonal Fruits on Market to Lead Taiwan Agricultural Product Consumption Trend
