1. The COA conducted candidates selection eligible for the "1st Presidential Agriculture Award."

2. The COA established a Typhoon Nock-Ten emergency team and declared Ilan County eligible for agricultural natural disaster low-interest loans.

3. The Agricultural Bank of Taiwan Co., Ltd. decided to locate its headquarters on Kuanchien Rd. in Taipei.

4. The COA conducted a fire ant control model workshop.

5. The COA temporarily suspended the importation of canine and feline wild animals from HPAIinfected areas in Southeast Asia.

6. The COA held a bird flu control drill.

7. The COA assisted the Fuli Township Farmers' Association in Hualien County to export the first batch of 18 tons domestic rice to Japan.

8. The COA promulgated the "Quarantine Requirements for the Importation of Lumber."

9. The COA promulgated the "Agro-biotechnology Park Organization and Management Regulations," "Agro-biotechnology Park Management Fee Collection Standards," and "Agro-biotechnology Park Bonded Operation Management Regulations."

10. The COA conducted 4 sessions of workshops related to "Agricultural Development Regulation."

11. The COA formed a project supervision team to provide assistance to recreational farms.

12. The COA promulgated the "Breeder Animal and Poultry and Germplasm Import Approval Document Review Guidelines."

13. The COA participated in the Convention for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna's "10th Convention and 3rd Extended Convention" conference in Pusan, Korea. The COA secured the right to host the 4th Extended Convention and Extended Scientific Committee conference in Taiwan in 2005, and the Ecological Species Working Team conference in 2006.
