  1. “The guidance to subsidy the establishment of poultry slaughtering plants” was promulgated.
  2. “The regulations on over-100-ton vessels fishing for tunas and marlins in the Indian Ocean for 2007”were promulgated.
  3. “The adjustment of the number of offshore longline fishing vessels” was announced. In which, articles 2, 5 and 8 stipulate the scale-back operation of vessels would be completed by May 31, 2007.
  4. A revised version of the quarantine requirements for the importation of animals and animal products was announced, in which article 7 was modified to include appendix 3-9 for the quarantine requirements for the importation of frozen canine semen.
  5. Flow charts of Taiwan Good Agricultural Practices were announced for 23 fruits that include tankan orange, hairy orange, mango, lemon, papaya, lychee, kumquat, liucheng orange, grapefruit, murcott orange, etc.
  6. Flow charts of Taiwan Good Agricultural Practices were announced for 23 vegetables that include bamboo shoot, sweet potato leaves, sweet pepper, strawberry, tomato spinach, short-season leafy vegetables, broccoli, enoki mushroom, shitake mushroom, etc., and six field and specialty crops such as sweet potato, tea leaves, peanut, sweet corn, yam and rosella.

  8. The fishery of whale sharks has reached an annual quota of 30 for 2007 on March 27, thus a moratorium was imposed for the rest of the year. The sale of whale shark meat and its byproducts would also be banned from June 27, 2007 thereon.
