  1. The implementation procedures for the Agricultural Production and Certification Act were announced.
  2. To encourage the farmers’ associations and fishermen’s associations actively engage in the brokerage of better farmland use, the incentive system was announced.
  3. Amendments were made to articles 30 and 31 of the Animal Protection Act to further promote the responsible care and use of animals.
  4. Amendments were made to the Pesticide Management Act to secure safe use of agro-pesticides.
  5. An amendment was made on “the procedures for the loan application in the homestead operation” by extending the grace period for loan application after the transfer of land title.
  6. The guidance of granting preferential loans to the companies that plan to establish in the agricultural science park was announced.
  7. An amendment was made on the "implementation of loan support of fishery management" by increasing the loan amount from 80 percent to 90 percent of the transacted value of the fishery equipment.
  8. The operation procedures were announced for the reduction of trawlers over 100 tons and longliners between 20-100 tons for the period from 2007 to 2009.
  9. To ensure better control of crop diseases and pests for the farmers and safe products for the consumers, the COA has publicized 21 agro-pesticides for cucurbit vegetables, and 20 for fruit vegetables.
  10. Flow charts of Taiwan Good Agricultural Practices were announced for garlic, broccoli and water bamboo shoot ( Zizania aquatica).
  11. The public campaign for voting the ten best fruits from Taiwan was launched.
  12. The COA set up a theme hall on agricultural biotechnology in “Bio Taiwan 2007.”
  13. The Agricultural Trade Show 2007 was conducted.
  14. The 16-km long Nenggao rock canal in central Taiwan that had been destroyed by a major earthquake in 1999 was completely repaired for irrigation purpose.
