  1. Because of heavy losses in agriculture caused by typhoon Sepat, Pingtung County, Hualien County, Taitung County and Yunlin County were offered with both cash relieves and low-interest loans, Yilan County, Tainan County, Kaohsiung County and Chiayi County with low-interest loans.
  2. Item 1 of article 4 of the Provisional Statute for Senior Farmers’ Welfare and Subsidy was amended so to increase welfare allowance from NT$5,000 to NT$6,000, retroactive to 1 July 2007.
  3. Compulsive registration of animal husbandry was extended to the end of 2007 for a comprehensive registration and effective management of the animal husbandry sector.
  4. The guidance was announced on the proper fishery for trawlers over 100 tons to avoid illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing.
  5. Flow charts of Taiwan Good Agricultural Practices were announced for Taiwan tilapia, cobia, eel, sea perch, milkfish, grouper, hard clam, fresh water clam, oyster, and white leg shrimp.
  6. To reduce the food price in the country, the tariff for wheat flour, wheat, corn and soybean flour was reduced 50 percent.
