Due to agricultural disasters sustained by typhoon Sepat and torrential rains, papaya production areas in Kaohsiung County and green onion production areas in Tainan County were compensated with cash relieves, and pear production areas in Taichung County, papaya and watermelon production areas in Tainan County, and papaya, watermelon, melon and cantaloupe production areas with part of cash relieves.
Measures were tightened to prevent violations of the Agricultural Production and Certification Act.
