Agricultural Technology Trading Exhibition held on Feb 6 at Pingtung Agricultural Biotechnology Park
The Council of Agriculture held the 2nd Agricultural Technology Trading Exhibition at Pingtung Agricultural Biotechnology Park on Feb 6 to present the research and development achievements of domestic agricultural, research match technology developers and factory owners so as to create the opportunities for the park to recruit more factories to the park. Ninety-three newly developed agricultural technology items and products were displayed at the exhibition.
The COA said that the exhibition was especially planned and acquired the technology items with promising business potential that had developed at recent four years for the exhibition. They were categorized as new variety, new breeding technology, food safe, phytosanitary, skin care, health and regimen, food processing and agricultural materials, displayed in both static and dynamic states. An agricultural finance section was set up to introduce COA’s counseling affairs for agricultural enterprises.
“Agricultural Enterprise Development and Counseling Workshop”, “Agricultural Technology Achievement Analysis and Added-value Presentation”, “The National Agricultural Bank Affairs Workshop” and “Agriculture Credit Guarantee Fund Workshop” were simultaneously held with the exhibition to help the prospective factories understand the COA’s diverse counseling and preferential measures.
Innovative research and development and the system establishment are two basic works for further agricultural development, according to the COA. In the era of knowledge economy, the COA will devote itself to boosting the competitiveness of Taiwan’s agriculture and reinforcing the concept of intellectual property rights to encourage inventors to apply for patents for their achievements, thus increasing their profits. The technology will afterwards be transferred to private enterprises and assist in upgrading agriculture.
