Agricultural losses caused by Typhoon Longwang had increased to some NT$320 million, according to the latest estimate released yesterday by the Council of Agriculture.
The amount includes NT$312 million in crop losses and NT$9 million in losses from damage to farming facilities.
The agricultural sectors in 13 counties are affected by the typhoon, with the hardest-hit being Changhua County, which suffered NT$183 million in agricultural losses. Other hard-hit areas are Hualien, Chiayi and Tainan counties.
